I rarely give 5 stars but my lunch here was perfection.
I'm going to discuss how this restaurant handled our children's meals more than mine as I loved the meal, but I'm not much of a gourmand to mete out my
We first wanted to have a lunch but the restaurant was full and waiters were running everywhere. We decided to just take a coffee with few cakes.Cakes were quite expensive and very small. The cashier told us to go to sit they will bring us our order. We found a table but an impolite waiter asked us to move and go somewhere else because somebody wanted to eat and it seemed it was more interesting for them. We got another small table and it took a long time to get our order. The area looks nice but with this terrible service we just wanted to leave... what we did!
L'orangerie du Chateau is located 3 minute walk from the chateau in a lovely setting. It is not now a l'orangrie but a fine, clean restaurant with bright decor, lots of sunshine, functioning heaters (in October) and immaculate restrooms. Food is offered inside and on the patio. Seating is about 2-300 to accommodate the hordes of tourists. We stopped in for a light lunch of cold beer, a glass of house white, bread service, onion soup, salad and coffee with a sweet dessert. Excellent! The service was warm and helpful.
