Bidrage med feedbackWe came here because we were curious as to who took up the mantle of filling the hole Southbound BBQ, a true community gem, left behind. I wish we hadn't. This was the worst meal I've had in a really long time. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, but completely raw inside, and came with a side of salmonella and a sauce that tasted like vinegar added to a store bought bottle of carrot ginger dressing. The miso ramen tasted like it was made by someone who had never had ramen before, but trying to follow an internet recipe. Surprisingly, the pork belly bao was pretty tasty. But that was it. The bacon dumplings were very mediocre, and the drunken noodle was a disaster a block of gummy pasta with a hodge podge of discordant ingredients all tossed together. All in all, an expensive disappointment.
Delicious ramen ! Huge portion for the ramen . also tried the oxtail egg rolls but it only came with 2 small egg rolls so not worth the price but still was delicious. definitely recommend this place !
I am thrilled to have a new ramen place in the neighborhood! It's such an interesting menu with a bit of fusion intertwined in the dishes. I love the creativity. I had the Jamaican Jerk Shoyu Ramen and the crispy duck tacos. Both were delicious. They have outdoor seating which is important to me. The waitress was wonderful. We were in a time crunch and she made sure we were in and out quickly. We will definitely be back soon with so many other items I want to try like the boa buns, banh mi tacos, and scallion pancakes!
Always on the hunt for new ramen places to try. Found on Yelp and there were mixed reviews but my son loves ramen so we went. Nice modern feel with dark woods glass light fixtures. Regular tables and a few bar tables as well. Ordered chicken wings and 2 ramen bowls along with some beverages. The woman behind the counter was nice but wasn't enthusiastic, she paced the bar with her airpods in. The food was brought out in a timely fashion. The wings were nice and crispy, piping hot. The wings alone lacked seasoning. The butter kimchi dipping sauce scallion garnish were the saving grace. Onto the ramen bowls. Both were generous in the portions. The miso ramen was flavorful but still felt a bit underseasoned. The chasu pork had good flavor, wasn't dry but it was cut THICK. I needed to BITE through for it tear. Due to the thick cut of the chasu there was too much fat to chew which was a disappointment. The shoyu smoked chicken ramen had a jerk chicken undertone, which explained the plantain chips? My son enjoyed the slices of chicken the garlic croquettes. He couldn't finish his ramen the portion was very generous. But he did enjoy it. Overall it was ok. When we got home I had to take a nap the food was so filling. When I woke up a little over an hour later.... I was so parched, I guzzled down an entire bottle of water! Oh the sodium snuck up on me!!! Would I go back, probably not. I'll head elsewhere for a better seasoned everything.
Dissapointed because ive been waiting for a restaurant like this for a while. the pork belly buns were good but the oxtail spring roll was still partially frozen when it reached my table. The miso ramen did not really have much flavor either. Can't see myself going back
