Bidrage med feedbackAsked for Decaff coffee but after a day of having mild palpitations I don’t think it was. That is the reason why I drink Decaff. Also no toilet facility, was told indifferently the nearest was McDonalds, which was not the direction I was going. Have occasionally been before but was disappointed with today’s visit. Will stick to Costas in future.
This is a great little cafe, have been here a few times over the years. Cannot believe the low feedback by some. Yes there is no toilet, theres no requirement to have one and where would they put it? Went twice in August both times had steak and stilton pie which was amazing, real chunks of meat. Had once with home made chips which were good considering it was with new potatoes. Second time with mash which was very smooth and creamy. Yes will be back it would have been this week but it was closed Tuesday after the bank holiday.
Went here with a friend I had a fish finger sandwich with salad. A delicious sandwich. It was served when hot and the salad was good and crisp. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff made you feel welcome. I will be going again.
This restaurant is not family-friendly at all. They do not have a kids menu or even a bathroom, so I had to take my three-year-old to Matalan. The space is small and there is no room for a pushchair. The prices are extremely high - we paid nearly £20 for three sandwiches, two coffees, and a flapjack. It's disappointing because we like to support local businesses, but we could have gotten four cooked meals for the same price elsewhere. On the bright side, the staff were friendly.
My father and I came to this restaurant to have lunch. The server was sitting at a table chatting and when we tried to order, she told us she needed to mop the floors and tidy up first. We felt unwelcome and like we were bothering them by being customers. The server's attitude alone was enough to turn us off.
