The rice bowl was not as advertised, picture had a whole ton of salmon roe, but there were exactly 6 in the dish I received. Shumai is normally really good but they were pretty shriveled and awful this time.
HiTea provides Japanese comfort food with a diverse selection of options ranging from udon noodles to ramen bowls and donburi. We tried a variety of dishes and milk teas, all of which were delicious. Ordering was more convenient using the kiosk near the front counter compared to using the phone app. Our food arrived quickly and was served hot. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! In terms of kid-friendliness, the decor is bright and welcoming. As for parking, the restaurant is located in a small strip mall with ample parking available.
I ordered delivery from a third-party service and unfortunately, my food order was incorrect. When I called the restaurant, the person who answered insisted that I call the delivery service instead. Despite explaining that it was the food itself that was wrong, not the delivery, she continued to redirect me to the service. I inquired about the ingredients in the beef shank rice bowl, noting that it was missing broccoli and other vegetables aside from onions. The person still insisted I contact the delivery service. Now I am left waiting for a response from the delivery service and feeling hungry. I am unsure whether I should eat the incorrect order or continue waiting to see if they will replace it or provide a credit.
We absolutely adore this restaurant! We have sampled many different flavors of boba tea and have loved every single one. Our favorite items are the smoothies with popping fruit pearls. In addition, the Oreo tiramisu boba tea is a must-try and one of our top choices. Don't forget to request 100% sweetness when ordering!
I’ve been here multiple times and had a good experience the first time I went here. The inside is decorated really nicely but the service ruined our entire experience. Before sitting down we went to the counter to order and we’re told we could sit and order online with a QR code. There were teenage girls working behind the counter who were laughing and messily making boba for another customer who had ordered. We ordered at the counter and the girl taking our order didn’t seem to know how to work the register and had to have her manager come help her. The waitresses that brought our food out were laughing and leaned over our table to place the food down. Our food was good up until we found a piece of long black hair tangled into the rice which we proceeded to ask for a refund for. After that we found a shorter piece of black hair in the other meal. We were very polite and didn’t ask for a refund for the second meal but just let the staff know there was hair in the food and the manager was extremely rude telling us we were lying. I do not have black hair so there is no way it was my hair and the waitress and cooks both had black hair. Would not recommend anyone to go here, my appetite was ruined after eating only a few bites of my meal. Overall the staff was immature and the customer service was not good.
