Bidrage med feedbackA great bar to.watch the rugby and have a bite to eat. Drinks are pricey but the food was good and when I booked a table requesting a table with a good view of the TV, this was honored. Nice staff. Good service. Clean loos.
We booked the Snug for a leaving drink and meal. Easily fit all 25 in comfortably and were treated like royalty. Was absolutely fantastic. It was pretty busy throughout the time we were there yet you didn’t get any outside noise coming through. All the lads had positive things to say, many have suggested we need to book more parties…nd not just when someone leaves it was that good. All the food was great, even ones who ordered late (instead of pre order) got their food at the same time. Charlotte and Andria were very accommodating, kind and easy going throughout. Couldn’t recommend highly enough perfect for any small to medium size casual booking. Thanks again
We visited this lovely pub on Sunday 7th January for Sunday lunch. We were three of only a handful of customers in there, so not busy at all. We ordered three roast beef dinners. They took an age to arrive, which i don't mind, providing they are worth the wait. They were not. The food looked as though it had been pre plated and warmed in the microwave to serve. It was only Luke warm, and we were soon eating cold food. We should have complained to be fair, but we doubted we would have been given fresh meals of any better standard and didn't want them just reheating in the microwave. The beef was tough and fatty, I left mine, it was horrible. None of us were given a yorkshire pudding, as stated on the menu. We highlighted this, the waitress brought us out one each, over done, crisp and dry and cold! At £14 for a Sunday dinner, I expect the food to be edible. We left starving and went elsewhere to get food to fill us up. We will definitely not be back. It's such a shame as the place itself is lovely and the staff were very nice, although it seems some extra training is required concerning the food.
Fantastic sandstone vaulted bar and restaurant very close to the Cross in Chester (ie. Extremely central). Homely yet funky. Good pub food, friendly staff.
Came here completely on a whim as was passing, super glad we did, I had the king prawns, battered halloumi and cod goujons. Others had burgers and the food was fantastic! Big up to the pickled watermelon they were even kind enough to give me the recipe! Fantastic service from Sophie and Emily, will return soon hopefully. Sorry for no pictures but didn't expect it to be as nice as it was xxx
