Bidrage med feedbackWhat a find! This place is superb. You will be very pleased if you choose The Cheshire Yeoman, for your next meal out. Having recently moved into the area, and being 'keen foodies ' ourselves, we have been sampling the many eateries on offer locally. Our meal at The Cheshire Yeoman today was quite simply the finest we have eaten anywhere around here, in the past 6 months. The Haddock Mornay was cooked to perfection and the Chicken Supreme was an absolute triumph, with a delicious and beautifully cooked, autumnal garlicky, mushroomy, unctuous sauce. This chef really knows how to cook. We are both very impressed with this lovely, country pub. Not only is the food to die for but the staff are all exceptionally welcoming and consummate professionals at their jobs. Do give The Cheshire Yeoman a whirl, next time you are in need of some excellent food at perfectly reasonable prices, in a lovely setting. We 'll certainly be back. Often.
Yet again, we were greeted with a warm welcome, friendly service, and a delicious, freshly prepared meal at Yeoman restaurant. A big thank you to all the staff who made our visit exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Having visited this eatery before 12mths ago we decided that from our visit to Cheshire oaks we would try again.our 1st visit was for Sunday lunch our 2nd visit was a mid afternoon visit.on walking into the pub it was virtually empty apart from a family of 3 sitting on the raised area.no problem there so we sat down on a table again on the raised area.our table needed cleaning bits of food no a good start ok we could have sat at another table but choose not to.firstly there is no excuse for tables not to be cleaned ready for the next customers and that means around the floor around and underneath the table.its just pure laziness.so we ordered our starter pate x2.it arrived toast was partly burned but did not make a big issue over it but the dressing that was in the plate was to put it mildly was pathetic.the tinyest piece of rocket you have ever seen.poor effort and at 7.95 not cheap for our mains we had ordered belly draft pork and fish and chips.well my partner said the belly draft was nice but the batter on my fish was burnt overcooked.it was brought to the attention of the girl who served us and it was changed.but by this time i had really lost my appetite.also as mentioned before why o why is it so difficult to clean tables after the customers have left the family who were in the pub when we got there there table still had glasses food on the table and on the floor sorry its just sheer laziness unfortunately we struggle to give service in our country and this pub needs to up there game.final bill 57 quid. Not cheap for very average food and service.next time we visit cheshire oaks we will not be coming here again.
My 11 year old daughter I visited here for dinner one eve when we were in the area. The menu had lots of delicious sounding meals on what we chose was very enjoyable. The service was great it had a good atmosphere with locals eating there always a good sign.
Enjoyed the food, however the locals along with the staff were constantly making fun of the welsh. Mimicking welsh language and telling welsh jokes. Strange as the pub is on the Welsh Road at the gateway of Wales. Obviously they only wish to attract locals.
