The Blackhouse Grill Chester

Great food. but it was pampered by the waitress who took my teller as I took it the last piece steak in my mouth, then followed by the desert menu before I swallowed my food! so poor service

Great food, but loud, rushed and ridiculously overpriced, even with the 'food ' discounts that you can get by email. No denying the food is tasty though, starters portions are small and £7-8 quid a pop for something interesting.

A Great Night in Chester. My partner and I dined at the Blackhouse grill when visiting Chester for the weekend. Our concierge recommended the grill to us and we had a superb meal accompanied by live music and service, which can only be described as exceptional and very welcoming. Excellent. Welcomer was excellent, food was excellent, live music was brilliant, a really enjoyable night. Thanks Blackhouse grill 22 Jun, 2009 FANATSTIC. An absolute gem of a restaurant, varied menu, the lobster Fillett is exquisite, fantastic service, fantastic food fantastic atmosphere with the added bonus of live music. A real must for any one who appreciates good food!!

The building and restaurant look great. I have eaten here several times and it has always been 'ok '. Service has been good but when I order a steak in a steak restaurant I expect it to come as I ordered it! I.e. Rare is rare not medium! Shame really.
