A total joke waited over 20 mins for a refund only 3 tills in the whole shop. Customer service non existent.

Decided not to bother souless since they've gone cashless I only use cash so won't go to any business that goes woke

What have they done to the cafe here ?… it’s all now self service no menu displayed so you can’t choose your food until you are at the touch screen which by they way don’t work properly and keep freezing) … there are 8 screens but today they only had 2 in operation because the kitchen couldn’t cope with more !! … queue was ridiculous, food choice poor ! , why do they think we want everything to be self service ??? … including most of the tills in store !! … the whole shopping and lunch trip was a massive stress fest !! … very poor show M and S … and what about people who still wa t to use cash and interact with a real person ??

I visit this store regularly while my dog is being groomed nearby. I came with my mum for a coffee and a cake and the new ordering kiosks really broke our hearts. My mum would never use these anyway and after asking the staff if there was a cashier to serve us we were told someone would help us if we needed assistance. I’m digitally savvy thanks as I work in IT but I do not want this kind of service. We were committed by this point and whilst ordering, another member of staff asked if I needed help. I said I don’t need help but I don’t want to have to order this way. I had a lovely chat with her about the way the world is going. It’ll soon be that there’s no one to speak to. And for some, a visit to the cafe and speaking to the cashier is all they have. Plus they must lose money on the impulse purchases while ordering at the counter surely? M&S have lost the plot here.

After over 20 years of using the M. S. Cafe at Handforth Dean, we have visited it for the last time today. Since the revamp, they seem totally unable to deliver an extra hot coffee, despite selecting extra hot at the order point. We are told that all they can do is heat the cups so you get a hot cup and lukewarm coffee. Off to Costa where you can order an extra hot coffee.
