Bidrage med feedbackWe enjoyed some good food in a rather unusual atmosphere. A few weeks ago, four of us stopped by for lunch on a Friday while exploring the area. Although the ongoing construction was a bit of a distraction, the overall experience was worthwhile...
The highlight of this restaurant is the breathtaking view of the bay—it's truly the best in town on a summer day. Additionally, the artificial beach adds a unique touch. However, the food leaves much to be desired; I found it quite disappointing, especially for the price of $14 for a rubbery dish.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and after reading the other reviews, I have to say that the cream of crab barely had any crab meat in it. I was really disappointed.
We were excited to try Boardwalk Cafe but never had the chance. Since we've dined at Rod Reel many times, I decided to make a reservation at Boardwalk Cafe for a change, especially since it offered outdoor seating for the fireworks. I booked a table on June 29th for July 3rd, hoping to enjoy the show. However, on the day of our reservation, I received a call informing me that they had to cancel our reservation due to a last-minute decision to host a concert. They offered us two options: either purchase concert tickets for $30 per person to keep our reservation or pay $10 to arrive 30 minutes before the fireworks without having dinner. Given that it was the day of the fireworks, this seemed quite inconsiderate. My family was really looking forward to the display, and I was frustrated at the thought of spending $120 just to keep our reservation, especially with the possibility of rain. Overall, it was a disappointing experience; unfortunately, I can't even comment on the food since we never got to try it.
The service was excellent, but the food left much to be desired. The shrimp appetizer lacked seasoning, and the fried shrimp were mostly batter and overcooked. It seemed like the cooking oil needed to be replaced.
