Bidrage med feedbackGreat place to go if you want basic Tex mex food and very good portions. The staff is very friendly. Only reservation is that it can be packed at peak times, so if a tourist is best to go both sides of normal working periods.
So we visited Oncle Scotts last year on the way back from our vacation, so we decided that we start a little tradition and go back this year. I don't like to go wrong and there were definitely some positive to this visit... the food was decent, the decor is fun and the location is really convenient, but our trip this year has set quite a lot on our idea of a family tradition. Firstly, it is worth pointing out that my French is not the best, but I am a tryer and given time with a menu I am usually OK but this menu bambuszte me with different options from which it turned out were not available on a Sunday lunchtime (I know enough French to know if a menu says just lunch). Secondly, the waiters spoke zero English (not a problem) and made zero effort to work with us on a translation, simply asking the same questions in increasingly difficult tones (definite a problem). Essentially, we have limited ourselves to 6 different Burger options and a children's menu... We ordered and the food was OK. My feeling was that the staff had better things to do than to deal with customers, especially foreign ones, as it seemed a lot of cleaning between serving. I will not place on the basis of a difficult experience, but 6 hours driven and leaving early to leave an Oncle Scott's time, I will not make this effort again. I'm sure that's not a hint at them best, and the place is fun when they're in shape.
I ate here on the perseverance of colleagues, despite the raft of better possibilities nearby. The food is measured by quantity with name. Avoid.
The restaurant is 1/2 mile from Premiere Classe and directly opposite Leclerc Hypermarche. The restaurant has its own parking. Meals are mainly based burgers and steak. We had a steak dress with a lot of chips and a baked... Potatoes came! There was nothing special about the meal. We only ate here because it was convenient for the Premiere Classe and poured it with rain, next time we will try another restaurant.
We wandered around Cherbourg on Saturday night at 9.00 pm. It really is a bit of a ghost town with just a few places showing signs of life. We then came across Oncle Scott 's and thought, Oh well, first night in France, let 's have a...burger! . I have to say, it was really really good with excellent service, very well cooked burger and great beer! It was cheap and had a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
