La Marina - Cherbourg-en-Cotentin

We booked a nice meal here last night. Everything was cooked and perfectly presented. I had mixed seafood beginners and my wife had the scallop. My main were two kinds of fish salmon and hake with a shrimp and my wife...has the turbot and a café Gourmand to Finsh

4 of us dined from the table d'hote. Good goat cheese star soup de poisson, perfect faux foket steaks, sea bass OK, tarte tatin, which is for dying.

Unfortunately, we caught the staff on a bad day, both in the kitchen and in front of the house, and the apology as we did not show in any way to the generally bad food and the aggressive inconvenience of one of the waiters....Some of them could have been our fault (we asked to share 3 bowls of Moule between 6 as there were no initial portions, this did not go well down). Such a shame as we had eaten fabulously in the other nights of our trip, and that was our last night.

The menu is extensive and offers numerous options, including large shellfish are a good price. Service is friendly and friendly. A relaxed atmosphere.

We spotted this restaurant on the harbour front when visiting Cherbourg on a recent cruise. As we were here on a Sunday a lot of the restaurants were closed but luckily for us this little gem was open. Unbeknown to us it was Mother’s Day...in France the day we visited so only just managed to get a table for two. Service was a little bit slow but the food was well worth the wait. I had a seafood platter and my husband had a plate of fresh rose crevettes. Both dishes were excellent. We washed it down with a nice bottle of rose wine at €22. Would we call in again? Definitely.
