Spice Exchange - Cheltenham

Great tasting food and friendly staff. We just walked and the staff happily looked after us. My wife had bombay aloo main main dish and I had chicken afghani and the sauce had black pepper and mustard, it was fantastic as I had never had it before. We were told the specials are not the normal dishes but the chef experimenting to see how popular they are. The price is good and we definitely recommend to any one visiting and wanting to support an independent business.

During our visit to Cheltenham, we stumbled upon this charming restaurant by chance. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive to all our needs. The restaurant was also very clean and well-maintained. My husband ordered an Afghan chicken dish from the special menu placed on our table and he loved it. I opted for the Bombay Aloo and was not disappointed. The meal came with fluffy pilau rice and a delicious garlic naan bread. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant. Well done!

Just ordered a takeaway and we couldn’t fault it! I called before ordering as I’m gluten intolerant and the staff were incredibly helpful with advice on menu options (as always it was a real pleasure to eat your food! Thanks to all the staff at Spice Exchange :

The Indian food at this restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and I highly recommend it. After our show at the Everyman finished at 9.30, we only had to walk 4 minutes to get to the restaurant. The kitchen is open until 11pm, but I believe if you call ahead, they may be able to accommodate you even later. What's even better is that we ordered more food than we could finish, but the staff had no problem packing it up for us to take home for lunch the next day. Yum!

We are regulars in here, the food and service is always very good. Omar and the team are always lovely, friendly and welcoming, fantastic service. If you fancy some Indian Cuisine in Cheltenham this is certainly the best place to go and never disappoints.
