Marcela's Cocina Mexicana - Chelan

After climbing the 5 hour maple pass trail in the morning, I came here directly for lunch and dinner. I chose a restaurant in the town. The environment was very dark and it felt like a bar setting. The cooking when ordering is a little slow, but maybe it’s because it’s freshly made. Tortilla soup I originally thought it was chicken consommé, but I didn’t see any tomatoes. It was a bit sour and salty, but it tasted quite delicious with the shredded chicken and avocado. Steamed fish taco This fried chicken is delicious because the cod is very fresh. It is accompanied by mango slices. The seafood is fresh and sweet first and is delicious. Someone said he was hungry and ordered a small steak set. A portion of 25 dollars was enough for two or three people. Although the beef was cut very thin, it was still delicious.

Horrible service, Horrible food, Not what it was years ago and don't waste your time or money!

Disappointing !! We have been to this place many times… And things have definitely changed! I understand what the economy is doing to restaurants… But at the same time don’t skimp on your food and what made this place so good in the past. To then turn around and charge people more for the plate that you just skimped on regarding chicken steak, etc is crazy ! A $25 chef burrito should not be full of just rice and beans, no cheese …no sauce!! ?HUH??

We travel a lot and have been to more than a few Mexican restaurants, and I can hand on heart say this is my new favourite, the staff we friendly and accommodating for a late turn up party of seven, the food was well presented, hot and the flavours mouth watering, portion sizes were great and the Margaritas were awesome ? We will be back for more in the future. Thanks for a great experience
