Lady Of The Lake - Chelan

I had a wonderful experience on this boat trip! It's a must-do if you're in Chelan or nearby. Just a heads up, make sure to bring a book or download some entertainment on your phone because the 1.5-hour ride each way can get a bit dull. The mobile network might take about 30 minutes to connect. The scenery is stunning, although some may find it a bit repetitive. We took the 8:30 AM trip, and they departed right on time.

My son and I visited Chelan on Thanksgiving and decided to take a same-day round trip on the Lady of the Lake Express. The journey lasted 2.5 hours to the top of the lake, followed by a 90-minute stop in the charming town of Stehekin, and then another 2.5 hours back to the bottom of the lake. The scenery along the way was absolutely breathtaking! The seats on the ferry were comfortable, providing fantastic views of the lake from all sides. The staff on board were incredibly helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Stehekin dining room—I highly recommend the BLT! Overall, we were very satisfied with our adventure, but we wish we had more time to explore Stehekin and North Cascades National Park. Next time, I’ll plan ahead and book a cabin for one or two nights!

This is the slowest boat (Lady of the Lake II) and the best to enjoy the Chelan lake cruise imho. Plenty of space aboard, very friendly crew. You will see campers being dropped from the boat into the wilderness, see a beautiful water fall and Indian graffiti on a slick rock, which you won't see with any faster boat. Highly recommend. Slow food approach to sailing the lake, compared to the fully packed, closed cabins of the fast boats.

Super smooth ride from the southern side of the lake to the north. I was able to read a book for most of the journey and never got motion sick. The crew was super professional and friendly. The boats leave on time, don't be late! Book early as the seats sell out quickly. Also note if you get the one day ride tickets that a 1.5 hour layover in the town of Stehekin, that's insufficient time to explore much. Rainbow Falls can be accessed via a bus ride with a 15 minute stop at the falls.
