Bidrage med feedbackAs I was driving down hwy 897 on my way to Wainwright from Lloydminster I saw the sign for Paradise Valley, I looked at the clock on my radio and it said 12:02. I already had a restaurant picked out to eat at in Wainwright but fate took over and I hit the brakes and signaled for a left hand turn off the hwy for the one mile journey to Paradise Valley. Even though I had no idea if there would be a restaurant or what it might serve I rolled the dice. I pulled into town to see a quaint farming town and found the road to the main street easy to find. Irene's Cafe, I guess that's where my lunch would be. I parked in front of the busiest building in town and found an old building serving as the cafe. As I walked in it was easy to tell that I needed to order at the counter. I had the soup and sandwich, Egg salad and Veggie soup. It only took a few minutes and they delivered my order to the table I had picked. It was great, just like mom would make for me. The soup was fresh and not overdone and the bread was moist. And I caught up on most of the local gossip while eating. I love small towns! When I was done I grabbed my stuff and headed out the door, took a few pictures of the outside of the building and walked to my truck. As I was about to get in I heard a lady yelling at me. The waitress noticed I had left my bottle of ice tea on the table and she ran out to find me. You won't find service like that in a city. Top notch service and food. Take your time and enjoy life off of the beaten path. I do!

I've been to both the wholesale and the dining sections of this business.
