Forbidden City - Chattanooga

This Asian buffet was seriously the worst I've ever been to in all the US states where I've lived. The food was not good at all - the fried foods were hard and rocky, the meat and ingredients seemed old, and the oil used was also old. The only edible items were the soup and tomato salad, but even those weren't great. The waitress was very nice and the decor was nice, but that's about all that was positive about the restaurant. I've tried many different kitchens and have a decent palate, but even my partner who will eat anything was extremely disappointed. Despite having good reviews, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Asian buffet. I would rate the food 0 stars and the decor 1 star.

The food was fantastic. I enjoyed the variety and my grandson was able to find something he liked to eat.

Although from the beautiful outside world to the brightly decorated interieur this place looked impressive; the all-inclusive hibachi, sushi and the traditional Chinese farewell buffet was a farewell. the hibachi that I had to cook with fresh was too salty to eat. the buffet lures itself as if I bite into a mouthful fat or just had an unpleasant aftertaste over it. I have not taken more than one bit of something and left starving there. I don't eat sushi, but my son is a big fan of it and enjoyed it so that it was a plus.

Beautiful place, truly disappointing food. It all looks great, but... Worst sushi I've ever had. The variety is less than it first appears. The hot foods were way over cooked and only the sauces saved them. Small salad bar. Liked the hot crab salad with cheese. Desserts are ultra processed. Fruit was unripe. Good service.

By far the best all you can eat Chinese restaurant, superb service, competitive price(s) and very laundry back, relaxing atmosphere. Thank you forbidden city staff for an amazing supper.
