Applebee's Grill - Chatsworth

I had a gift card and business nearby, so I decided to try out Applebee's for the first time with a curbside pickup order. Ordering online was quick and easy, and my food was ready in just five minutes after I arrived in my car. I started with a mushroom Swiss burger and fries, which tasted good but the burger was on the smaller side and not worth the $15 price tag. I have had better and larger burgers for much less at fast food places. Later, I tried the chicken Alfredo pasta and was very disappointed. The Alfredo sauce was overly sweet, almost as if sugar had been added instead of salt. Even the diced tomatoes garnishing the dish were too sweet. This experience has convinced me that Applebee's has a misguided perception of Italian cuisine. Overall, I will not be returning to Applebee's.

I?m surprised that I?m giving this place 4 stars. The service was great and our server Sherri, probably gets all the credit. The food is decent. It did taste bad, but they are generous with the salt. So be prepared to gain a kidney stone after eating.

Although the server was friendly, she was not quite up to standard, much like the restaurant itself. Despite our visit being on a Wednesday, we still had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant so the server could catch up. It seems like the restaurant should have had more staff on hand for the evening. I had requested a few more minutes to look at the menu, but it took the server another 10+ minutes to return, and then an additional 30 minutes until we were served. We spent an unreasonable amount of time waiting. The food was average, nothing special. Unfortunately, we won't be returning anytime soon, which is disappointing as I had hoped for a better experience. My son's kids mac and cheese looked unappetizing, as if it had been sitting at the bottom of the pot for too long. The beer cheese and pretzels appetizer was lukewarm. However, I appreciate that they acknowledged the subpar fries they initially served us and sent out a fresh batch without us having to ask.

My family chose Applebee's to celebrate a birthday. I convinced them to make it a yearly tradition after having a great experience during my first visit. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Huge thanks to Bob and Crystal for making it such a great dining experience!

The greeter older gentleman was not the most friendliest, seemed like it was a bother to have our work groups of 11 to dine there for lunch. The place was empty. We were told we could sit where we wanted then apparently a young women who was themanager was upset and said Oh so they just sit themselves? She was very rude. We waited a very long time for our food, otherguest who sat down after us got their food first. The manager helped bring out our food with our waiter Giovanny and was rudeand just kind of threw the plate down. Giovanny was very nice. We asked the name of the manager but couldn 't give her name out.We wanted to let management know how rude she was. She just kept looking at us and with a mocking face and just kept laughing. I find this very appalling that Applebee 's would allow this type of person representing their restaurant. Hopefully they willget a more professional person to be manager during lunch time. Thank you
