Bidrage med feedbackThe stalls on that strip down Victoria are so convenient. May’s set up shop here and it was imperative I take advantage of the $5 Chicken Satay sticks. 4 pieces! How are they able to do this! I like to shop and snack, so this is perfect as you parade yourself down the mall and they’ve saved me the walk to their homeless at Mandarin Centre! The sauce had all the flavors, however didn’t have that thickness in texture we like with our Chicken Satay and more runny - but it worked. As a street snack, it did well!
They had a stall at the Night Noodle Markets so decided to give it a go as intrigued by what the Fried Radish Cakes would taste like. I imagined them to be like ones you see in yum cha which are the square fried vegetable patties however they were served chopped up and served like a noodle stir fry. They were still very tasty with elements of char kway teo. It had beansprouts and crispy onions.
The food at this slightly grimy restaurant was fantastic and made us feel like we were back in Malaysia! We loved the Penang char kway teow with duck egg
