Bidrage med feedbackThis hidden gem in Chatham is truly amazing. I was driving past and saw the sign, so I immediately turned around and stopped in. I ordered the halibut and chips, and the halibut was delicious.
The food at this restaurant is excellent, all made from scratch and prepared to order. The owners are also very friendly.
I ordered two double fish portions for Good Friday. The chips were greasy and tasted like the oil needed to be changed. We received only a small Styrofoam cup with two small lemon wedges and a small amount of coleslaw. There was no tartar sauce, even though we were told it would be included. The fish needed more paper to absorb the excess oil. In their defense, they were very busy so perhaps other customers had better experiences in the past.
This Cafe is open for a few hours in the morning and from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. They have a full menu of British food, and one of Canadian. They specialize in wonderful fish and chips. They have Alaskan pollock, cod, haddock and halibut. The coating is a soft Guinness base. Their chips are great. Tax is included in everything.
Fish and chips was okay, certainly not the best as advertised. service is slow, waitress was rather abrupt. No rush to go back
