Golden Crown - Chatham

I've been a loyal customer of Golden Crown since I was a child and have always loved the quality of their food. Tonight the food was gross. The only thing decent in our $40 special dinner for two was the chicken balls. The meat in the beef and vegetables was mush. We found a burnt piece of what looked like bone in our pork fried rice. The short ribs contained more fat than meat and were chewy and bland. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this place to friends and family as the quality has gone downhill.

We ordered a combo with lemon chicken. There was 4 very small pcs of chicken so hard we couldn't eat it. The lemon sauce had no taste. The rice and chowmein were very bland, no taste. Will be our last time.

Normally the food from here is great but when I ordered tonight I received noodles that were rock hard from being burnt to a pan with no soy sauce on them. Very sad because I’ve never received noodles like this before.Chicken balls and rice were great though!

The availability is inconsistent; you never know when they're open. The hours for indoor dining vary, and there have been many occasions when they are temporarily closed.

I always enjoy visiting this place. The food is fantastic, and the service is excellent.
