Les XIII cantons - Chatel-St-Denis

I’ve been to Les XIII cantons many times, mostly for lunches and dinners with my colleagues during the last 4 years and have never been disappointed. The ambiance is very pleasant. Besides, it’s the only place in Châtel-St-Denis where you get well served even if...you’re not local. In summer they have nice wooden tables with banks outside to enjoy the say. My favorites on the menu so far are: “pavé de boeuf sur l’ardoise” (beaf steak on the hot stone), which you can cook yourself to the extent you want, with different sauces, French fries and vegetables on the side – divine! “pizza paysanne” – pizza with bacon and egg, yummy! At lunch time they have a menu for a fixed price, which varies every day of the week. The portions are abundant and the taste has always been excellent. Absolutely recommend! NB! They don’t have fondue so don’t look for it on the menu.

I ordered risotto without knowing what was in it (the waiter spoke some English, but could only identify little fish , and it turned out to be scallops. I was delighted and it was delicious. My family members also enjoyed their hamburgers, which were served with...field greens salads and fries.

Eating is always excellent and when bashkain is served, they get excellent service if it is not there service can sometimes moderate to bad.

I really like the place. as I live in les paccots not so far away, I often meet my friends for lunch. they have very tasty burgers and weic acids. and the people who work there are very nice and have a good feeling.

Very good service and eat. can be crawled on Fridays and Saturdays, but waiter and waiter are very proffesional and will act accordingly. bravo
