Fantastic food. Nice accomodations!! Great Owner/Restaurateur!!!

For travelers who are afraid of nothing. Cleanliness and hygiene leave something to be desired. Traces of toothpaste or soap on the bathroom shelf, hairs in the shower, stains on the towels as if someone had wiped grease off them, cobwebs, questionable sheets, etc. Bring an electric lamp for the staircase: It is quite dangerous and the timer is too short, you risk finding yourself in the dark between two landings and the buttons are not easy to find.

I highly recommend to all those who pass or live in the chinon castle to discover this magnificent hotel! this restaurant hotel is for me a great discovery in this department of the nièvre that I love so much. the hotel is charming, traditional, full of history and its owner is a very interesting person who has the love to welcome his guests. The evening meal is amazing and very hearty and breakfast is served with fresh food and also garnished. Thank you for your stay.

Very friendly reception by a very unusual hotel owner! Copious breakfasts with fresh bread and chocolate bread from the bakery. delicious evening meal, very generous as the boss. Quiet nights, not a noise, it was very pleasant!

Super charming vintage bar! A very good welcome with a good ice cream. We had a good time on the terrace.
