Cafe Bleu - Chartres

A very popular and well located restaurant. The food was first class, service was friendly and efficient.

Wonderful situation on the parvis of the cathedral. Service and food were exceptional. The choice of food was very good and the cooking was better than most places.

Good location by the Cathedral, went for dinner based on good reviews but left disappointed. My wife and I both chose prawn risotto for our main course. The prawns hadn't been cleaned I. e. Still had their poo tracks left in, yuk, inexcusable! The tails were left on, don't know why when you can't eat them and it's messy removing them. The rice was barely recognisable as rice, it was just mush. The parfait starter was ok but not great. We felt it was a case of style over quality. Not impressed.

The service was surprisingly bad, making for an unpleasant experience overall.

Its the first restaurant you'll see as soon as you step out of the Chateau of Versailles.
