Townsville Barra Fun Park

We had a wonderful day at the Townsville Barra Fun Park with our family. The kids had a blast fishing and navigating the water obstacle course, while my husband and I relished some peaceful moments on stand-up paddleboards. There were plenty of tables in the shade for us to settle in for the day. You can choose to buy food at the on-site café or bring your own cooler.

My niece had her wedding here last month, and I must say, the grounds are stunning (once you move past the unattractive parking lot). The catered food was both delicious and plentiful. I would definitely recommend Barra Fun Park as a wedding venue.

The kids really enjoy going there, but the place definitely needs some tender loving care and maintenance since it's quite run-down and outdated. I also think the prices are excessively high, especially when it's absurd to charge the full rate if you're not swimming. Additionally, the food was quite disappointing. My son ordered hot chips that tasted stale, as if they'd been sitting around for three days, and the pizza I had was clearly microwaved, leaving the crust chewy.

Absolutely great place for the family. Staff, where amazing. The food was good. Very recommended if there was a ball in the Kids area and we all caught a few Barra.

Children love it here. Bit Pricy for a family on a budget, but many options to make it affordable. Children got a beautiful fish and loved the slides and obstacles in the water park. Go early if you want some shade and breeze.
