Best lunch spot in Charlottesville! I absolutely love the trifecta bowl with sous vide chicken, chicken curry, and jerk chicken! They also have fantastic vegetarian options, with the cauliflower being my favorite. The plantains are the best I’ve ever tasted, and they come with a delicious sauce. Make sure to order ahead for a quick pickup!

In June, we found ourselves in need of catering for a memorial service for 60 people on very short notice—less than a week. A different caterer recommended Pearl Island, and they exceeded our expectations! They were incredibly helpful over the phone and easy to communicate with. The food, which included two entrees and several side dishes, was absolutely delicious! Everyone agreed that it couldn't have been better. The catering team from Pearl Island delivered the meals perfectly, ensuring that hot food was hot and cold food was cold.

I am updating my initial review to note that you responded promptly, which gives me the impression that you genuinely care about your establishment! I plan to return, thanks in part to your timely response. However, I must suggest that you improve your communication skills. If Fridays are that busy, it’s crucial to ensure that your staffing levels and food supply are sufficient. It’s disappointing when an accepted order leads to letdowns for your customers.

Yummy food and sizable takeout portions! We got the tofu curry and jerk chicken platters. Platters came with kale salad, seasoned rice, fried plantains. Tofu curry was really flavorful with a thick coconut curry gravy. Jerk chicken was an unusual flavor that tasted to me somewhat heavy on cardamom.

So good!! Love the flavors and textures. I recommend the Full Platter, cauliflower in tomato gravy. Chefs Kiss ????
