Bidrage med feedbackWhen Flying Biscuit first opened, it was fantastic. However, the quality seems to have declined over time, possibly due to a new chef. The pancakes and sausages, which used to be delicious, are now consistently overcooked. Despite giving it multiple chances, we have not seen any improvement. Unfortunately, we will have to look for another breakfast spot.
I recently dined at this unique restaurant that can be best described as Bohemian. They offered a variety of non-traditional options like chicken sausage, turkey bacon, and vegan burgers, with possibly two beef options as well. I don't recall any pork dishes on the menu. The biscuit served was particularly impressive, being both large and slightly sweet on top, paired with a delicious cranberry apple butter on the side. This is definitely a spot to visit if you're looking to try something different and eclectic. The service was both attentive and friendly, although the small size of the restaurant means it can fill up quickly.
This is probably my favorite breakfast spot overall in the south Charlotte area (which is the only area I frequent typically haha). The menu boasts plenty of options, from typical southern staples to slightly healthier fares. I recently came in on the morning of my birthday and was so happy with my chorizo egg scramble! It was delicious and packed with so much flavor. Their coffee has left a little to be desired if you like it strong, but they are such a pleasant waitstaff and the atmosphere is so fun so it pretty much all makes up for it. But yes- if I could change one thing there I would ask for stronger HOT coffee and cold brew!
I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast and the grits. I am not a grits eater at all. I ENJOYED my cheesy grits. Service was amazing, Susan, our waitress was amazing. Such a beautiful atmosphere. Most definitely will be back. Owner came by and asked if everything was amazing..
This is one of my favorite brunch restaurants ever! It's literally in my top two. A casual atmosphere with great food, staff, and vibes. I always visit this location because the biscuits are always consistent. Fluffy with an excellent texture, my minimum order is always 2, and if I still can't get enough, I'll get another one. On my last visit, I tried the following: BLUEBERRY LEMONADE MIMOSA Irresistibly sweet and delicious. Just so you know, the taste is more on the juice side, less on the alcohol, which is why I loved it. MUST TRY. ****** MARY This was my first time having a ****** Mary. As a result, I do not have anything to compare it, too. However, I learned by trying this that I do not like tomato juice. If you love ****** Marys, I encourage you to try this drink and let your taste buds be the judge as I cannot accurately review it. BACON EGGS BREAKFAST Two eggs served with three strips of crispy all natural nitrate free applewood bacon, grits, and a biscuit Classic taste HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. SMOKED SALMON SCRAMBLE Three eggs scrambled with chopped wood smoked salmon and dill cream cheese. Served with grits and a biscuit. I loved the taste of this so much, I taught myself how to make it. The salmon and cream cheese flavors make this dynamite. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. STUFFED FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST Two thick slices of challah bread dipped in their signature batter, grilled, stuffed with sweet cream cheese and topped with raspberry sauce, honey crème anglaise, fresh strawberries, and powdered sugar. Served with two eggs, two chicken sage sausage patties, grits and a biscuit. Sweetness galore. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
