Thai House - Charlotte

I was lucky at this point because Bahni Bro was closed and I was hungry. I've seen them have vegan options. I went and looked over the menu. My thing is that I think people do not know the difference between vegetarian and vegan. I asked about the vegan options and she immediately said yes we have vegetarian options. I had to explain to her that I was not eating an egg that was said in the vegetarian options. I just asked if they had a vegetable dish. I mean, who can only screw Veggies, right. She pointed me to the selection of noodles that only vegetables I had ordered that I always asked, this is vegan, right. She was at once a little pushy and said vegetarian. I had to explain again, no I don't want an egg she said, showed me the noodles that don't have an egg. As soon as I ordered, she repeated it back and said Tofu. I don't like tofu and plus can't have much soy. I asked not only to apply the noodles with Veggies. The dish was small for $15, but it was pretty good, the veggies were seasoned and I got the mild taste. I would not go back there I try to stir away from places that do not know the difference in vegan and vegetarian. Obviously not.

I hope what happened to me was just a one-time mistake, but it didn't seem like that. I ordered Tofu Pad Thai for delivery and specifies no egg or fish sauce (because I was vegan). I didn't think this would cause any problems as they are listed in Happy Cow and I never had a problem ordering vegan in a Thai place. My food had not only mixed eggs into them, but had what I can only accept to mix Mayo into the sauce (is that even one thing for Thai food?! I am confiscated and sick by the few bites I had until I noticed what was in my food.

My friend and I went through the area of Charlotte and decided to try the Thai House because I am vegetarian and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful. I had the vegetarian yellow curry and it was the best I ever had. I would also recommend the sticky rice for the desert:

Tasty and eye appealing dishes and the staff is very gracious. Our Sunday dinner at the Thai House was just right. We will definitely return. :

Wonderful thai restaurant! great ambiente. very attentive and friendly staff. the food was delicious! I felt like home with my instincts who enjoy a home cooked Thai meal. make sure to save space for a sticky rice for dessert!
