Taqueria Allende - Charlotte

A genuine hidden gem in Charlotte for authentic Mexican cuisine. I highly recommend trying the chilaquiles for a weekend brunch. They are, without a doubt, the best in town. Be sure to order the 'rojos' with egg—you won’t be disappointed! Check out my picture to see what you can look forward to.

The staff was very friendly. Although I didn’t dine in, the restaurant offers plenty of space for gatherings with friends. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the tacos I ordered were. I tried the carnitas, al pastor, and lengua tacos, and they were all delicious. The only issue I encountered has nothing to do with the restaurant or its staff, but rather with its location. It can be tricky to find since there are many shops clustered together and numerous turns to navigate. Additionally, if you’re leaving in the afternoon during heavy traffic and need to turn left, it’s easier to turn right and find your way back. It’s essentially impossible to make a left turn out of there.

Absolutely fantastic! The Mexican food here is truly authentic. My wife and I really enjoy dining at this restaurant!

The restaurant has great service and you get a lot for your money. It doesn’t get full and your food arrives quickly.

The five-star rating is solely for the customer service, particularly from Pepe, who was exceptionally welcoming and polite—probably one of the best servers I've ever encountered. However, when it comes to the food, I can only give the menudo one star, and that's being generous. The cesina escebollada was not very impressive either. While they have the service nailed down, they definitely need to improve the quality of the food.
