Bidrage med feedbackI ordered the lamb shank and was surprised to receive a very small portion. The staff was friendly, especially a new employee who did well, but the meal was average. I was surprised by how busy the restaurant was. Perhaps I should have expected it.
This restaurant is excellent and worth visiting. It has a lot of history and is located in the center of Charleville. I highly recommend it.
Corones was recommended to us by a local and when I tried to make a reservation, I was informed that they were fully booked but to come by and check for availability. We arrived at 7:15 PM and were pleasantly surprised to find that there were still tables available in the dining room. Alternatively, we could have chosen to dine in the bar area as there were plenty of tables in that spacious room. The restaurant itself is large and well-maintained, with many of its original stained glass windows still intact. We both opted for the steak and were not disappointed. The steak was cooked perfectly to our liking and came with a variety of delicious sauces. I paired mine with a glass of red wine and the peppercorn sauce, both of which were excellent. The meal was served with chips and a salad, which was a pleasant surprise as it consisted of a mix of green leaves, coleslaw, corn, and tomatoes. Despite its unusual combination, it worked well and was just what I needed after a few days of traveling. Overall, Corones is a fantastic restaurant with friendly and attentive staff.
Barramundi eating was good. the chicken carving was reduced to a darkened thick lump. Spo to the young waitress complain about the carving and supplement the fish. has not pursued further.
A very impressive building with an even more impressive history. This is another must do when in town. Harry Corones life story is amazing.
