Brasserie Ducale

Sadly not much good to say. The food was OK. We were charged almost 34 euros for 2 x 50cl of wine which was not even muscadet or pinot noir (the wine they said we were given . The order was wrong even though the waiter repeated the order after me. We were charged 9.80 for 25cl of wine that we didn't have, we had a kir and a beer. To be honest 91.90 is extremely excessive for 1 entree 2 main courses and the wine (oh yes the coffees were free because of the bad service!!!! . We have lived in France for 11 years and it really was our worst ever experience.

We spent a few hours walking around Charleville. When visiting the Place Ducale, we decided to have lunch at this Brasserie. The four people in our company selected different salads from the menu. They were all excellent. The service was very friendly we still enjoyed the view of the Place Ducale while eating.

Perfect location in Ducale square. Additionally the staff was nice while desserts were really good. I recommend local tiramisu with strawberry.

Stopped here for lunch with family. The very attentive staff took to a table upstairs. Food was good value and everyone was happy with their food. Portions were more than ample, particularly the children, who appeared to get a bowl of tagliatelle the same size as the adults for half the price. Would eat here again.

Found this restaurant by chance having been turned away as to late by others. Sat upstairs and had really good bistrot style food, service was excellant and staff very helpful and pleasant. Great value at 50 euros for two people two courses and bottle of wine!
