Toast of Charleston-West Ashley

The food was good, but they were from most beers and drinks from the drinks card. No maize bread was ready at 5:00, although it should come with meals. The modifications to the children's courts were not honored (to switch from sorted fruits in one way) and the server recognized it, but not trouble correcting it.

Food is too expensive for quality. The menu had some great options, but the quality of the food was not what we expected. Service was very moderate. Maybe better for breakfast, but we won't go back to dinner.

We waited forever to get our drinks, which were not the ones we originally ordered. Our soup and sandwich were served with a 10-minute gap between them, with the sandwich tasting quite good but the PoBoy having only 4 shrimps and 4 oysters for $12.95. The Okra gumbo was not up to par. Our waitress was pleasant, but it seemed like she was overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the poor quality of the food and service means we will not be returning.

Slow service, ordered breakfast and meal seemed old. Had to ask for funeral, like others. He waited 15 minutes for the server to come back to the table to pay so we could go.

The restaurant offers great food, a good variety of options, and excellent service. It is always a pleasant place to enjoy a satisfying meal.
