Gale - Charleston

One of the best meatball appetizers I have had. The pasta was outstanding. Enjoyed the background music selection as well. Looking forward to trying the pizza sometime as it looks great.

We went to Charleston for the weekend to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Upon searching reviews to decide where we wanted to celebrate over dinner, we were so lucky to find Gale Restaurant. The staff was extremely accommodating and the food was amazing. We were fortunate enough to be there during one of Gale's visits to her restaurant. She graced us with lovely conversations, two glasses of champagne, authentic ricotta filled chocolate glazed cannolis for dessert, and she also had our wedding song played while we enjoyed one of the best meals we've ever had. She even offered up her meatball recipe, and they were out of this world. Thank you Gale for giving us an anniversary meal we will never forget. Looking forward to our next meal at Gale!

Worst treatment by bar staff ever experienced in my life. From walking in the door the bartender didn't want to wait on me and friend (1 hour before closing). Was unhelpful, standoffish, and then became rude. While we were undecided about drinks and commenting on our choices with bartender we were told that we were making his night difficult. Escalated from there and we were told he wanted us to leave. We hadn't even been there for 15 minutes. Just in being indecisive we were told we were rude, and were also told that we smelled. I have never been so shocked and offended by any person in customer service. My friend and I spent years in the restaurant industry, were having a great night before he stepped in the door. Will never visit this establishment and will continue to inform others of the experience.

I've been visiting this place for months for their Wine Wednesday specials. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is great. The food is excellent, and the drinks will definitely impress you! I highly recommend coming here on a weeknight or weekend for a great deal and a delicious meal!

Jonathon was truly amazing! He went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience, and the food was simply outstanding. The menu is quite refined, but everything we ordered was excellent. Overall, I would rate it an 11 out of 10, and I will definitely return for that gluten-free pistachio pasta dish! As for dietary restrictions, I enjoyed a wonderful local gluten-free pasta that was more like tagliatelle rather than penne, which thrilled me!
