Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Extremely Slow! Told us 10 minute wait and it ended up being 1 hr 30 min wait! The individual at the door stated it was because no one came into work in the kitchen, then stated the kitchen was down because of if some other issue. Witnessed the staff being very rude to customers that were becoming impatient with long waits. Tables remained empty for long periods of time. Manager was no where to be found. Multiple empty tables (25 to be exact), They said they had to take care of to-go orders before waiting customers. I was contacted by Cracker Barrel and provided with a ?run of the mill? generic apology with no hint of them attempting to correct the situation at this location. Oh and I was provided with a coupon for a free desert. Cracker Barrel is headed to the ?bottom of the barrel? on my list of great places to eat.

We were staying at a hotel within walking distance of the restaurant thought it would be a great idea for breakfast as we always have had good experiences at this chain. However, Saturday morning was an exception. We called the restaurant for a pick up order at 7:54 a.m. was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:20a.m. and after asking about my order at least 3 times, was informed by the hostess that she would go back and try to get it ready. I saw 2 customers cancel their orders and leave while I was there. At 8:47a.m., the hostess brought my bag to me and said the take out server had six orders was swamped. When I got to the room, we were missing a side of bacon and I am attaching a picture of my breakfast. Everything was cold, the grits were crusted over and dried out and this was supposed to be 2 eggs on this plate but they were rubbery from obviously sitting back there so long. My ticket was $39 and I could not believe this food was even served to a customer. I really wish they would have just told me the take out service was not a good option. Hot food from a fast food restaurant would have been much better and much more affordable.

The second time you move out. The food was ready before she said it wasn't a wait, except to pay. My order was hot and delicious.

Great setup ran out of sweet potatoes, but the food was good. My favorite place to eat everywhere. Kellner was very friendly and helpful.

Can even give this place 1 star today (but I have to post this)... my husband and I ordered online for board pickup. The site said our food was ready at 5:41. I came a few minutes too late because I know it's difficult to meet some time frames now because of personnel shortage. I waited an hour. A HOUR!!!! Then I decided to see what the problem was. My food sat on the shelf, and the manager could say I did. No offer, the ridiculously long wait a little better. I paid online and a 15% tip. I didn't even offer a refund at the top. I don't expect everything to be free. But something to help form for THEIR faux pas. WTH?!? I want to write and complain to Cracker Barrel. That was absolutely unacceptable! My food was less than warm.
