That was good, but something above the price. Blue Heron's ordering process should have been explained by the host as soon as we sat. The ordering process is easy to use, but if you have never been there, how would you know what to do? The hostess should have welcomed us and asked? Have you ever sung here? If we don't have, we use the Toast app to order their food.
We've been eating here for years and it was always wonderful. We were here twice last month and both times were absolutely terrible. The new ordering system creates a situation in which you absolutely do not receive a service. And tonight they were from everything (which was fine, we understand supply chain problems), but we were not told until we were at the table for over an hour with our two little children. And we were only informed because something we had ordered was no longer available. We were there almost 1.5 hours before our food came. No one refilled our water or even apologized for waiting. It was really one of the worst restaurant experiences we ever had. We will only consider going back when they get rid of the ordering system and have a real service.
We had a great experience in The Blue Heron. All we had was delicious! Get the Calamari with the paprika! All right! The brussel sprouts are devine! The rock fish and broccoli were both cooked and seasoned to perfection! The service was also wonderful. Tyler and Amber took care of us very well. We're coming back!
If you are in the Richmond or the Williamsburg Area. This is such a hidden Jewel. Thank You to Amber the Manager,bartender. Our Server was Tucker,great young man. Food is perfect. Crispy Roasted Brussel Sprouts, or the Fresh tasting and perfectly cooked Calamari. Had not been there in years,it did not disappoint.
