La Hacienda Taqueria - Chapman

The birria pizza was horrible. The tortillas were not cooked well if at all, they were gummy and chewy, way to much cheese and barely any meat..it was like eating lasagna soup..we will stick with La Hacienda on wheels ? better than the restaurant...

Just stopped in while meeting someone and wanted to try the aqua frescas. The lady was so nice and was willing to share the flavor choices with me as I had no idea what I was ordering. Then my husband who usually orders from the food truck in jc was excited to see the tamales on the menu. He took 1 bite and was sold forever. They tasted so fresh and the flavor was on point. Can not wait to return again and sit and have a meal with the whole family.

Food is bland and servings are small. Ordered trio fajitas and it was 80% sautéed vegetables. Trio means equal amounts of different proteins. Three shrimp, few pieces of beef, and rest was chicken. Drive 15 miles east and eat at La Fiesta. This was my second time eating here and both were a disappointment.

I tried this place for the first time and overall, it was decent for Mexican food. My family and I were promptly greeted, sat, drink orders taken, tostadas (tortilla chips) and salsa served, then order taken. The food came out rather quick. I ordered the tamales combo with rice and beans. The rice and beans were great. The tamales had good flavor and were a decent size, however, they were quite dry.The waitress was nice, but she never asked if we needed anything like drink refills, napkins, etc. She sat and was on the phone the whole time without checking on us. I had to get up and ask for to-go box and the check.I would like to return and try a different plate and hopefully receive better service from the waitress. To add, the prices are very affordable!

If you order take out this is your spot. We watched multiple orders being picked up as we sat in the dining room waiting over an hour for our food. We had a time deadline and had to ask the waitress multiple times when our food would arrive. When it did we had to box it up to eat after our next appointment. It seems that take out orders take priority over in house service. It will be quite awhile before we return.
