Restaurant Isla Cozumel - Chapala

Pedí camarones gratinados, el servicio fue súper lento, una hora de espera y los camarones estaban todos sucios, no los limpiaron. No tenían ni siquiera buen sazón. No vuelvo jamás.

Buen servicio, excelente atención, personal muy muy amable, siempre atentos al comensal, precios accesibles normales y algo que se agradece es la rapidez y platillos muy buenos...

Anteriormente habíamos visitado este sitio y no nos convenció del todo, pero decidimos darle una segunda oportunidad siguiendo las recomendaciones de los viajeros. Ordenamos especialidades del lugar como el ceviche combinado, la trucha salmonada y los camarones a la diabla. Y debo confesar que tuvimos una muy grata sorpresa, sobre todo con el ceviche combinado. La comida es muy rica y el servicio estándar; el lugar ofrece margaritas gratis pero debo advertirles que están algo fuertes. La ubicación es bastante buena ya que se localiza en el malecón.

Lake Chapala is Mexico's largest lake but there are very few lakeside or lakeview restaurants. Isla Cozumel is nestled in between a few restaurants on the east end of the malecón on the lake in Chapala. It's nice grabbing an outside table but there are...lake views and good people watching inside as well. Our waiter was very professional and made us feel right at home. The fish fillet (flounder) was al gusto your choice of preparation. I asked for mine grilled with a sauce called al ajillo guajillo pepper and garlic. It was delicious. My husband went with shrimp in a butter sauce. The shrimp were plentiful and perfectly cooked. We did some sharing and agreed what a great hidden gem of a restaurant. I had Absolute on the rocks and my husband had the house margarita which the waiter kept refilling. When the bill came we realized there were free margaritas during the week! After dinner we strolled the malecón, sat on a bench and enjoyed the lake and the sunset.

First time back since COVID started..Malecon almost empty on a Thursday.. Went with friends enjoyed outside seating..while Social Distancing from other tables. My husband I enjoyed the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp..Each had large Shrimp with rice Veggies...This selection is Our...friends shared a Molcajete, filled with Shrimp, Beef Chicken..They very much enjoyed their choice... No left overs.. Free Wine Margaritas when you order a meal..
