El Chinampa Mexican - Channelview

We love going to El Chinampa ever since we discovered it headed home one time. Every dish we've gotten is always prepared fresh, big portions and very tasty. Don't miss out on Pozole Menudo on the weekends. Service is very friendly and attentive. Also hashappy hour!

The food was bland. Tortillas are not homemade like stated. Both salsas were too spicy too enjoy. I did not enjoy my eating experience at all. I come out to enjoy good food and I would have rather spent the money and cooked it myself. At least then thefood will come out flavorful. The only positive thing which is why I'm giving it 2 stars was the customer service. The waitresswas nice.

Not good at all. Definitely one to avoid. I'm not sure you could even call it Mexican food. The enchiladas were drenched in queso sauce meant for dipping chips, and the overall quality of the food was terrible—lacking seasoning and flavor. The beans tasted like they came straight from a can, and the rice was equally disappointing.

Wow! The food here was absolutely amazing. We'll definitely return every time we're in the area. The atmosphere is vibrant and the place is spotless, plus the staff is incredibly friendly. The Garlic Shrimp is simply phenomenal. The salsa far surpasses anything we've had recently. Don't miss out on the chance for a wonderful experience!

During our visit to Houston from Baton Rouge, LA, we made the best choice by stopping here for dinner. It was absolutely incredible! The food was the best Mexican cuisine we've had in ages, bursting with amazing flavors. The homemade tortillas were a highlight, and the drinks were fresh and delightful! Our waitress and waiter were incredibly attentive and simply fantastic. Whenever we're in town, this will be our go-to spot for delicious, authentic Mexican food. We loved it!!!
