TL;DR: Would recommend. We had a great time here!! The AYCE is $30/person what we did. For appetizers we had the takoyaki and shumai, both delicious. We also got a little salad that was good. They are quite small, but it turns out that we needed space for the amount of sushi we ordered. I don't remember the names of all the sushi reels we got, but we tried a lil bit of all eel, tuna, salmon, crab and it was so delicious! They first gave us no ginger, but we asked some and they were happily obligated. With regard to the service, the place seemed to be run only by two people, a cook and a server. With this mind and crowd of people in the restaurant I felt like our service was just good and the waiting time was reasonable. Finally, they automatically included a 18% allowance on the invoice.
Mixed feelings about this place. Me and two friends did the “AYCE” dinner (only two rounds) for $30pp. The entrees were really yummy and we enjoyed the shrimp tempura, spring rolls, and gyoza, but I would not recommend the calamari. They forgot my miso soup, too. As for the sushi, they did a pretty good job with not filling the pieces with rice but the sushi wasn’t very flavorful. We got sashimi salad, the spicy kani, spicy salmon, and rainbow rolls- I can’t remember the other two. Overall, this place, with this quality at this price, I would not recommend.
Checked out this AYCE sushi spot with my cousin. We went at lunch and they were pretty slow, I'm surprised they were not more busy, I assume because of location most people don't know it's tucked away in the strip mall. Which is okay for me, less people so I can get my sushi faster. The meam was $25.99 but they included gratuity which came out to $33. I know it's not the cheapest option but it's All You Can Eat. Seafood is expensive and the restaurant industry has been hit hard, I'm more than happy to pay to eat out and be served. They also have a cocktail menu and serve beer so great for after work dinner and drinks. The service was friendly. The only downside was there was things on the menu that they no longer carried, I wish they took them off as to not disappoint guests. The sushi rolls also don't have descriptions on the buffet menu so you gotta look in the menu to see what's included, kinda tedious looking back and forth to see what's inside each roll. Overall a good experience and definitely recommend for big groups or picky eaters, something for everybody. But don't expect it to be cheap, this isn't dollar sushi. ;
Sad to write this review but unfortunately it’s how I feel. Food is awesome, that’s we keep coming, and have been coming for the past more than 15 years when was Canton. But Moki is build to be a take out machine and that’s how staff behave. They are efficient in this, but if you want to seat and eat there there is a different environment. Expect slow service and no service if you need assistance, they come to your table to order and to delivery your order, during the rest of the time staff is busy doing something and avoiding eye contact. Looks like there is no manager and the kids run the place as they can but without any basic knowledge about hospitality service, don’t get me wrong they are polite and work hard but got no training in table serving. I’ll continue coming to eat because love the food, but damnn how I miss to feel welcome like Canton used to make me feel.
