Piranha Pub - Châlons-en-Champagne

Staff were slow to take our order and it wasn't busy. We ordered rosé wine but it wasn't chilled. 4 adults meals eventually arrived but the 2 children's meals had been forgotten and eventually arrived after the adults had finished theirs. 2 had fish and chips but the pieces of fish were minuscule and cold. The stuffed peppers were smothered and awash with runny tzatziki. When we complained about the children's meals being late the children were offered a free drink which we accepted. When we later complained about the quality of the food we were all offered free desserts.....which we declined as we had decided to get them elsewhere. When the bill arrived the wine had been charged at 1 euro more than advertised on the menu and no offer of a reduction in the bill. A very disappointing experience especially as it was the last meal of our holiday.

We visited this restaurant while staying in a nearby Hotel and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. The waiting staff were just so friendly and even arranged for the chef to cook our favourite Calamari a la Plancha even though it was not on the menu.We have eaten so much Calamari on this holiday Squid will be an endangered species!! Great beer and food and live music from a very entertaining band. A smashing way to finish off our holidays.

Food is very poor. Service is intermittent dried chicken sauces watered down and served with oven chips suspect McCains. Great location but they need to lift their game shame really. Check the waiter on his phone throughout the time people are looking to be served .

There are plenty of bars in the square by the hotel deals ville so we does a table in the sun which happened to be in the Piranha Pub seating area. Beer was fine; we both selected Belgian brews. Service was quite slow but this gave us more time to people watch.

We had only one hour to eat, very fast, good dish (fried fish), fast service, very good value for money.. to redo.
