It's OK but I was wanting a Louisiana creole taste. It's more of Italian. Great if that's what you want.

For years, I'm sure a friend and a friend grew up anyway and everything I heard was extraordinary. tonight I found out that all I heard was right I was recommending that the po youngs are some drinks good atmosphere friendly people just a good time around

Rocky Carlos never disappoints me. I have been eating here occasionally through the years, since 1980 only because I live in another state though and it is fantastic and on my list of Favorite restaurants. And every time I bring someone new they say it becomes one of their favorites too. I highly recommend it. You must have the Macaroni Cheese. I get the veal parmesan, and onion rings. But everything is great there. I have tasted a variety of things and it's all good. Red Beans Rice, Green Beans, Hamburger steak, open face roast beef etc. I can't think of everything. And you get your money's worth when you eat here. It is a must try!!!!! I regret not taking pictures to post.

If you want to over eat this is the place for you! I had the spaghetti and meatballs dinner. The meatballs were huge, like two small meat loaves. The spaghetti and sauce were enough for 2-3 average adults and you get some french bread to mop it up with. The flavors were just ok, nothing to write home about. The poboys I saw others getting were equally large and in hind sight were probably a better choice.

This place is a total gem in Chalmette. I admit I don't frequently wind up in Da Parish but oh is it ever worth the drive there. The food is delicious. Service is busy but very nice. We had onion rings, the famous macaroni and cheese, and assorted poboys. The shrimp are fried perfectly and don't have the heavy batter that some use. Onion rings are thin and hot and delicious. They even have bottled root beer. So glad we finally popped over for lunch.
