Bidrage med feedbackIt was our first time! beautiful renovation/ conversion of a mill into a very successful museum. it is so walkable and manageable! the circular movement from the clear large windows with the stunning view of the brandywine creek invites to the solid gallery spaces! the exhibition is excellent. very informative and presented in time. we learned a lot about the wyeth. the lunch was absolutely tasty and the cafeteria location again surrounds the view of water/nature! we will book again and in any case nc Wyeth’s study tour.
I've been here several times over the years. Stopped in PA to visit Longwood Gardens and was driving by and decided to stop in to look at what paintings they have on display. I was pleasantly surprised that they have quite a few paintings on display. Although the paintings they do have are mostly Wyeth paintings of various family members spanning many generations, they also have a large display of landscape paintings by various artists. I enjoyed looking at Jamie Wyeth's paintings the best. He's very talented. I also appreciated the dark nature of Andrew Wyeth's paintings.
AMAZING! I have loved this museum for many years so it was a treat to show it to my artist husband while we were in town. The Wyeths' talent is unmatched. To be so close to such masterpieces was a privilege. LOVED IT!
Fabulous museum and is in a gorgeous setting. Cafe was absolutely delicious! Nice store as well and the cafe sells beer/wine too.
Love this museum! Big enough to host engaging exhibits but not so big it's exhausting. Added bonus is the surrounding open space with hiking trails you can make use of after visiting the museum. The on-site restaurant has limited offerings but the food is really good, portions generous and prices reasonable. (Unusual for a museum sit-down dinning room. Restaurant also has nice views of the Brandywine Creek. Triple A members can get two-for-one tickets, but that isn't mentioned on the website. Less than an hour from Philly and close to West Chester, which has a nice little downtown that's worth checking out. They had to do a lot of recovery work after flooding from hurricane Ida and could use your support.
