La Baia - CESENATICO

Hotel recommend this restaurant so thought we would give it a go. Lovely setting by the canal, outdoor or indoor seating. We sat in the corner inside with breeze coming through. We have sim only deals on our phones so to download menu costs money. Alexandra was extremely helpful, gave us her phone with menu in English. She helped us choose a good reasonable priced wine which was excellent. Food of shrimp cocktail and mussels starter was the best we’ve had all holiday. Followed by seafood pasta and seabass ravioli. Bread was super fresh too. Shame this was our last night. We will be back next year. Definitely return. Our opinion is this is the best restaurant in the area. My husband and I made a reservation for a Saturday night. It was raining so no seatings were available outside, but I felt like the inside dining room was even more elegant and romantic. I loved the wall with the art. You could hear some music but mostly it’s people’s chatter when it gets busy. Prices were good and comparable to other similar restaurants that offer fresh seafood, but portions were GIGANTIC definitely for two people not for one. We even took a doggie bag to go. The highlight of the dinner was pasta we took tagliolini with lobster (you have to order for two though). Mussels were probably the biggest I’ve ever had amazing! They were tasty and moderately spicy. We were just not big fans of bruschetta that they came with but you get a nice bread variety for the meal at the beginning so you can choose whatever you like. The fried mix of seafood and veggies was excellent, even the next day after we finished it at home. We didn’t really like the dessert (the meringue was too sweet had an ice cream inside, not to our liking), but we came for the seafood and it was fresh, delicious and exceeded all the expectations. Would definitely go back and for sure bring guests here.

I've been there twice for dinner at the beginning of May this year and I have no complaints. We were quickly received as seated, the waiters were friendly and helpful with the food and drinks menu. The food came relatively quickly and it was delicious. The restaurant looks elegant and is well kept. The first time we went there, the 4 of us had a large platter of the Mixed Crustaceans Catalan Style which was delicious! I would recommend it to those who like seafood. We also had the lava cake, English soup, and creme Brule deserts afterward. The english soup dessert was our least favorite, but the others were excellent. The second time we went there we had the octopus bruschetta for appetizers, Gardellina with seafood, and the mixed fish barbecue. They were all very good, mind you the garellina is on the light side when it comes to calories. On their website they have menus in several foreign languages and they also have wifi. I feel the restaurant is underrated, it's a hidden gem right on the pier. 10/10 will visit again.

Very fresh fish, excellent in particular the grill to be enjoyed in this beautiful restaurant a few steps from the sea. kind and prepared staff. good wine paper also the recommended price quality ratio
