La Rosta - CERVIGNANO DEL FRIULI

We have stopped 4 km from Aquileia to recharge our plug in car. The Rosta agriturismo is 5 min walking distance from free parking ground with the charging posts. We have had fantastic meal of traditional plates from Friuli with Refosco red wine of their own production. The price is outstanding for such a quality. One can dine inside and in the beautiful garden by the river. We will definitely be back!

We went La Rosta on for a social lunch on Sunday. The property is very nice: vineyards outside, very nice garden, and the restaurant inside is pleasant as well. This agriturismo does local food. As a starter, we had a selection of cheese, ham, salami and other, which were excellent. The main course was a combination of three first courses: gnocchi, strigoli and lasagne the gnocchi with duck sauce, in particular, were awesome. Wine was good as well. What I liked a lot was the attention for gluten free meal (needed for my wife): gluten free crackers, rice biscuits and pasta were provided, not to mention the dessert. Top notch service! Portions were OK even though in an agriturismo you might expect a bit more in the main course. However, the pricing was very good!!

If you like wine, get the 70 cent glass of house wine. It's not the best wine, but it is different and worth more than the price. We don't speak Italian, and the waitress didn't speak English or German (our languages). But she was helpful and friendly (the menus were in Italian only). We had some very good food at good prices. If you are in Terzo D'aquileia, this is a great restaurant for dinner.

Il posto da una sensazione di calore per l'interno in legno, dietro la panca ci sono sempre ragazze molto gentili da accogliere con un sorriso, anche se protetto dalla maschera. Ho avuto il piacere di assaggiare il vino e affettarlo, una vera e propria bontà! sulla cucina ho avuto occasione di provare che troppo ed era assolutamente delizioso, il valore per il denaro più che solo. Dopo aver visitato Aquileia..eccoci a La Rosta! Siamo entrati per acquistare i vini di loro produzione molto buoni e, vista l'ora..ci siamo fermati per cenare! Mai decisione fu piu' azzeccata..buona cucina, ottimi vini, cortesia e bella location!
