The Blue Pelican Inn Side Door

We popped in about an hour to close. My husband got a burger and onion chips, and I got mussels and a side salad. Everything was fine. The wait staff was professional. There were 2 other tables and they were dressed nice. When you go in the front door, you have to go left almost halfway into the next room (bar) to see the hotels stand. Looks like they have a large patio with an outside bar that is probably used on the weekends. We were there mid week. The ac was on, and I was freezing. Bring a sweater/jacket. We didn't travel. We were headed back from one of my kids' lessons.

I have been to the Blue Pelican a number of times and have had a good experience. I went tonight (July 3) about 6:30. I wanted to sit outside and walked through the patio to the hostess as directed. She told us that she would have to check. When she returned we were told that it would be a 40 minute wait. She gave a reason that I didn’t understand. I mentioned that there were 7 empty tables and she said she could seat us inside. All this made no sense. Also the woman who was the hostess was lacking in personality and hospitality. We left and won’t be back anytime soon.

Great food and pizza! Entertainment was great-rock and roll band!!
