Hogans Café Bistro - Celbridge

This place has definitely lost its bistro charm. When I first visited, it had a bright, airy atmosphere, a beautiful display of cakes and pastries, and delicious food. However, during my stop in Celbridge today, I was very disappointed to discover a messy seating area filled with business files and cleaning products. The carrot cake I ordered was inexplicably microwaved, making it taste like cardboard. The coffee was reminiscent of old dishwater. I only stayed to avoid the heavy rain outside. It's not surprising that there are so few customers; dining here is far from a pleasant experience.

I visited this restaurant during the week and had a wonderful experience. However, when I returned today, it was a complete mess. They forgot to include bacon in my Caesar salad, and despite clearly requesting no tomatoes on my club sandwich due to allergies, it arrived with tomatoes still on it. When I brought this to their attention, they simply removed the tomatoes without addressing the allergy concern, and the sandwich came back with tomato seeds still intact. This level of carelessness is unacceptable; if it had been a serious allergy, it could have been dangerous. On a positive note, the server was very pleasant, but overall, the service just wasn't good enough.

Delicious food and excellent service! The staff were incredibly kind, creating a truly friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!
