Well preserved old fashioned place serving traditional recipes. The mushrooms pastry is so delicate and delicious, so the cheese and raisins danish. It’s hard to find good bakeries in Iowa, so this one is definitely a top 3 on my state list.

I had a great time here during Sjevk Fest 2022. A small gathering with free pizza and beer. The baked goods are amazing but the high prices seem to reflect a long-term struggle.

Super friendly staff and really good pastry! Reasonably priced as well. The place is a historic gem. Highly recommend popping in. We came in on a slower day, so we had plenty of options to choose from and we eventually decided on a poppy seed danish. It was only a little over $2. Super pleased with my visit. Highly recommend!

Authentic Czech pastries and cheap! the gal work was very knowledgeable and had some sweet layers to tell about each bake. love that it is family owned and that they sell other local food products. ends up bringing some tasty home to oma and it warmed my heart saw her light over the poppy seed colache. definitiw one must stop in the Czech village!
