Casey's General Store - Cedar Rapids

I called to order a pizza for pickup and had a strange experience dealing with Jason. When I asked about specials, he mentioned some pizza deals but also said there were other specials he couldn't disclose. My boyfriend went to pick up the order 26 minutes later, only to be told the pizza wasn't ready and would take an additional 30-35 minutes. Frustrated, he ended up canceling the order. It seemed like the two guys behind the counter were doing everything except making pizzas.

This Casey's location on Mt. Vernon is not my favorite. My preferred one is on 8th Avenue. The cleanliness could be improved here, and the person cooking breakfast pizzas seemed more focused on their phone than their job. The cashier, an older lady, was not very welcoming or pleasant. However, the store does have a decent selection of merchandise and is conveniently located just a block away from my house.

Good inside service. Unfortunately, management is not willing to keep the property properly cleared oh nice and snow in the winter, nor are trees kept clear of the sidewalks. Have been scraped twice (in a wheelchair). Upper management does not respond either.

My family ordered some pizza over the weekend. Whoever was making the pizzas for Sunday lunch (1/30) deserves a raise. It was the best Casey?s pizza we?ve had in years!

I appreciate the variety of breakfast options available when I am feeling hungry in the mornings.
