Bidrage med feedbackThe food took a bit of time to be served, but it was definitely worth the wait. I had the posole verde and it was fantastic. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
The food at this restaurant is outstanding, I have to give them credit for that. However, I think the service could use some improvement. Despite this, I do plan to return. I had lunch there and the price per person was between $30 and $50. I rated the food a 5, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 3. I would recommend trying the Pozole Verde and the Menudo Chico Sin Pata.
The service at this restaurant was terrible. The staff showed no concern after we complained. One lady was particularly rude, throwing items at us and slamming a cup on the table when we asked for yellow lemons. We visit this place once a month, as we drive from Mesquite and Irving, and enjoy the food. However, on this occasion, the service was very poor. The lady serving us was new, as we had not seen her before. When we ordered pozole and menudo with bread, she only brought bread for one order and insisted we pay more for the other. Despite telling her that we order these items regularly, she ignored us. She did not check on us for water or anything, and when we requested water, she only brought one cup for the four of us. When we asked for to-go boxes and waited for our checks, she never returned. We had to go to the cashier to pay. The manager also showed little concern. Other family members also frequent this restaurant. I hope the owner takes notice of this review and makes improvements. We are not looking for a free meal, just to be treated as paying customers.
This place is amazing. Probably a hidden gem on the Southern outskirts of Dallas tbh. Big portions and affordable. I always leave too full to walk lol The food is ALWAYS flavorful and fresh. The drinks are cheap. From reading other reviews it seems like ordering to go isn’t a good option (poor quality/portioning) so take the time plan and dine in. Be wary of busy days/hours. Like all restaurants, of course it’s going to be busy and the service might not be the best. Silly fools.
Found this hidden gem one morning after church. The inside is way bigger and nicer than what it looks like outside (it's attached to a car shop). It was the weekend and they had Menudo for breakfast; con pata if you wanted. It tasted better than other places we have tried, but we have had better. This one was just a tad bit better than mediocre. The pancakes were very fluffy and delicious!! I ordered 2 but 1 would of had been better. I couldn't finish the 2. They were big and thick! We tasted a Barbacoa taco and it was OK. The flour tortillas used were better than most places. The corn tortillas not so much. We also tried the Migas plate. The potatoes were cooked to perfection! When they serve up the big chunky potatoes they're almost always on the hard side. These were perfectly soft but didn't fall apart; a very hard thing to do. The beans were good as well, but the Migas we're a bit flavorless. Maybe using different chips might help. They weren't that good. They were the least favorite thing we tasted. The service was great and the bathrooms looked freshly renovated and were nice and clean. The restaurant had 4 large screens where you could either watch the news, a soccer game, or a concert. You walk in and sit where you like. When you're done you go to the cash register and pay on your way out (not at the table). The place had an inviting and relaxed feel to it. We will be back to try other items on the menu.
