Maid-rite Shop - Cedar Falls

Maid-rite and Pommes, yum... oh andcwe hunted everything with a piece of banana cream cake. Yeah, it was homemade?

This restaurant is sort of a functioning museum. The Maid Rites are great and the staff is efficient. Portions are generous and prices are very competitive for comparable food. A spoon is provided with your delicious Maid Rites. Unfortunately I could not rate this location higher due to the cleanliness of the restaurant and the condition of the restaurant, although I still recommend stopping by to enjoy the food.

This place was dripping in flavor and history. The food was amazing, and you really feel the connection to the GENERATIONS of folks who sat at this very same counter. The staff was welcoming and engaged with me. It really made my solo road trip stop memorable. You are missing a piece of burger history if you skip this place. A loose meat burger is something you have to taste to really understand. And the burgers DO travel well. Grab a few to go for late night happiness.

The Cedar Falls, Iowa MAID-RITE is not only rocking out their famous sandwich, they are making made from scratch PIES every day!! I had three slices! Coconut Cream, Fresh Strawberry and for nostalgia Rhubarb! All three were amazing! From the perfect flaky crust to the filling, so tasty! This location has been open for the last 77 years and owned by the same Family for the last 44 years!! Had a wonderful time with the Owner Penne and her staff, but also with My Mom, My Sister and her Family and my Best Friend Drew and his Wife Angela! Miss you all already!
