Bidrage med feedbackComing to this place has been part of my Shakespeare fest traditions for years, and the new vibe threw me off a bit walking in. However the service is still fantastic, the food is still good, and once I got used to it the new vibe is great. 10/10. I'll be back next year. <3
This location used to be called the Pastry Pub. It had a folksy Celtic feel that went along perfectly with the Shakespeare Festival and the Englishness of this part of Cedar City. The owner was a nice Ba 'hai fellow who would walk you to your seats and clean up your plates when you were done. (And if you liked, you could ask him for a copy of a world unity poster hanging by the soda fountain, Ba 'hai-style. Then the good fellow retired and sold the place, and it was changed into a generic Utah-themed diner simply called the Pub. The green Ireland-themed walls were painted over with desert scenes and the Delicate Arch. Sure, people come from all over to enjoy what southern Utah has to offer, but you can get that stuff anywhere south of Beaver. This version of the Pub was decent, but only that. The food was good, the service was fine, but the vibe was dead. But it has been rebranded once more, now into a sort of English gentleman 's manor-house style with an Alice in Wonderland feel. There are bright pink dressers, bronze animal heads wearing pince-nezzes and gold watchchains. There are portraits of anthropomorphic animals in dapper suits. The walls are painted black with pink accents and curious designs. The radio plays the Vitamin String Quartet. This . . . e 'en this . . . is a worthy successor to what was the Pastry Pub. Nothing can ever replace what it once was, but the old fun and slightly whimsical feel is back. The table service is awesome, and the food is spot-on. Welcome to the Pub 3.0.
Everything about this place was incredible. The food was so good, especially the burger and fries! Also ordered a gin and soda and presentation was great too! Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and they did everything gluten free no problem!
Very mediocre, all around. We were here on the Fourth of July, and my first complaint is that they weren't serving burgers. At a burger place. On the Fourth. I got the hotdog. So much loose sauce that the bun collapsed, soggy and inedible, with about half the dog left. My wife got a salad that had, honest to God, chunks of dry, hard noodles that were clearly taken from a ramen noodle soup pack. Oh, and my hotdog didn't come out for 30 min. Their excuse was that they'd brought my meal to the wrong table. How this excuse makes any sense is beyond me did that table simply receive an extra meal? Finally, the drinks were quite expensive and had almost no alcohol in them. My bloody Mary was all tomato, and my buddies old fashioned was more sugar water than bourbon.
One of the best hamburger’s I have ever had! So delicious! Everything thing a pub burger should be!The fries were so tasty. Loved the frie sauce and the chipotle sauce! Thank you! The service was top notch too!
